Communities
Give your members a place to keep the conversation going.
Bring discussions, updates and learning together in a CreateMomento community. Help members find the right conversation and give your team a clear way to manage participation.
Built around your work
Keep useful conversations from getting lost.
Questions disappear in busy message threads. Important updates compete with casual conversation. A community organized around member needs gives people a clearer place to contribute and return to.

Communities
Create a community people can find their way around.
Start with a few purposeful spaces and a named person responsible for keeping them useful.
Discussion channelsPut related conversations together.
Organize posts and comments by topic so members know where to contribute.
Announcement channelsGive important updates a clear home.
Use an announcement channel for owner or admin posts. Members can read and, when enabled, react without creating a discussion thread.
Member managementDecide who joins and who helps run the group.
Use available invitations, approvals and roles. Check the actual permissions before giving someone management responsibility.
Private channelsLimit a conversation to selected members.
Choose who belongs to a private channel and test visibility as a member. Channel access is separate from the group’s general role settings.
Learning connectionsKeep lessons close to the conversation.
Attach a course through the Learning area and review its visibility and access conditions. Group membership alone should not be assumed to unlock every course.
Community eventsPut the next gathering where members can find it.
Share the time, details and location or meeting link. Configure the intended audience and reminders, then check the member experience.

A question after a lesson
A trainer directs learners to a topic channel for questions. A named team member reviews posts and points learners to the relevant lesson.

An important service update
A business publishes a service update in its announcement channel. A separate discussion channel gives members a place to ask follow-up questions.

A focused client cohort
A consultant creates a private channel for a cohort. Before inviting clients, they check who can see the channel and assign someone to guide discussions.

Questions before you start
Is this the same as a course?
No. A course organizes lessons; a community supports discussion. They can work together, but course visibility and access still need configuration.
Can we choose who joins?
Use the available group privacy, invitation and approval settings. Test the intended route before sharing an invitation widely.
Does a private group make every channel confidential?
Do not treat a privacy label as a blanket guarantee. Check group and channel membership, management roles and what each member can view before sharing sensitive information.
Can members reply to announcements?
Announcement channels are designed for owner or admin updates with member reactions when enabled, rather than replies. Provide a discussion channel when a conversation is needed.
Will every member receive every notification?
Do not assume that. Review community settings and the member experience, including notification preferences. Posting an update does not prove that everyone received or read it.
Who moderates the community?
Assign an owner and moderation process. The software provides controls; responding to questions and handling inappropriate content remain operational responsibilities.
Does this include a branded mobile app?
No. A branded client portal app is a separate offer with its own setup and eligibility. Confirm the experience included in your plan.
Will a community automatically improve retention?
No result is guaranteed. Useful content, timely responses and a clear reason to participate matter. Review member activity and feedback to improve the experience.
